The NAPA Know How Motorsport Academy has arrived and is here to help take your racing to the next level.

With mentorship from race industry specialists, including Walkinshaw Andretti United Supercars driver, Bryce Fullwood, the NAPA Know How Motorsport Academy will give you the tools you need to succeed on and off the track.

NAPA has long standing involvement in global motorsport including NASCAR, IndyCar, Sprintcars and Supercars, providing us with the Know How in the highly competitive nature of the sport. The NAPA Know How Motorsport Academy will give racers an edge to get ahead of the game and overcome some of the mental, physical and financial barriers that racers at all levels of competition face.

Whether you’re in it for the love of racing or have career aspirations to one day be behind the wheel of a Supercar, we’re looking for drivers to apply for their place in the Academy.

Unique Prizes

The NAPA Know How Motorsport Academy includes prizes to help support your racing career, as well as an amazing opportunity for one dedicated driver to join the Walkinshaw Andretti United Supercars team for the ITM Auckland SuperSprint in Pukekohe.

The driver that best demonstrates the Know How gained from the Academy will win an all-expenses paid trip for two including flights, accommodation and corporate hospitality.

The winner will spend time with the Walkinsahw Andretti United team over the race weekend that could include:

  • Track walk with the team
  • Session debrief with drivers and engineers
  • Listening into the team radio during a race session
  • Race preparation prior to gridding up

And if this immersive money can’t buy motorsport experience wasn’t enough, the NAPA Know How Motorsports Academy will also be awarding $5,000 to help support the winner in the 2022 racing season.

Almost 45 years on, you’ll continue to see the NAPA brand at the front of the field through Alexander Rossi (IndyCar), Chase Elliott (NASCAR) and Brad Sweet (World of Outlaws Sprintcars).

To support the launch of NAPA Auto Parts in Australia in 2019, NAPA IndyCar drivers Alexander Rossi and James Hinchcliffe came to Australia to race in the iconic Bathurst 1000 and has remained an important backer of the Walkinshaw Andretti United Supercars team.

How to Apply

As long as you are over the age of 13 and race on four wheels within New Zealand competition, you’re eligible to join.

We’re not fussed if you’re into sprint karts, circuit racing, speedway, drag racing or any other form of kiwi motorsport – all we care about is helping you get the most out of your racing experience.
